Robert Leventhal, USCJ Leadership Specialist will be our keynote speaker at METNY's Thriving Congregation Conference. We will learn about the foundational practices and attributes of a Thriving Congregation, take the Attributes of Thriving Congregations Assessment (ATCA) and explore in workshops ways to build on strengths and identify areas where growth is needed. In our work at United Synagogue we have found that congregations are complex and there is no single “recipe” for a thriving congregation. Successful congregations often have had a track record that has allowed them to build upon their strengths. We expect synagogue leaders to bring back to their communities a hopefulness and confidence by recognizing the things they are doing well in addition to acknowledging what needs to be improved.
