BUILDING ON THE MOMENTUM OF THE HIGH HOLIDAYS & PLANNING WHAT COMES NEXT

Affinity group gathering and participatory discussion forum for lay leaders involved in membership/engagement at their congregations.

This is a space-limited, interactive discussion.There will not be a frontal presentation. Please come prepared to share what takes place at your own congregation and with questions for others related to the session's topic.

Kindly consider the following questions in advance:

  • In what ways does your congregation kick off the new program and membership year?
  • Following the fall holidays, how does your congregation keep the energy and enthusiasm going for members?
  • Following the fall holidays, how does your congregation assist members in making personal connections?
  • How far in advance does your congregation plan fall/winter events? Who signs off on them and how are they scheduled?
  • How does your congregation decide which types of activities and event have a participation fee? Does this differ if the event is immediately after the holidays and membership renewal season?

The session is scheduled for 60 minutes and will not be recorded. There are 30 participant spots available on a first come-first served basis and a waiting list will open once those spots are filled.
