December Delights: Celebrating Historical Insights and Interfaith Inclusion
You're in for a treat! Join USCJ’s Director of Intermarriage Engagement and Inclusion, Dr. Keren McGinity, to discuss creating authentic celebrations by recognizing the distinctiveness of December traditions. Learn how Hanukkah "grew up" alongside Christmas in the U.S. and how celebrating differences fosters mutual respect and shalom bayit (peace in the home). Dr, McGinity's complete bio can be found here
The Small Congregations Leadership Gatherings are opportunities for synagogue leaders to come together for discussion, sharing, problem-solving, brainstorming, networking and actively supporting one another. The sessions will be in real-time only; they will not be recorded, which we hope will encourage open dialogue. These gatherings take place every other month and alternate from daytime to evening and last for one hour.
Questions about the session can be directed to Rachel Sisk, Synagogue Consultant, at rsisk@uscj.org
We look forward to seeing you online at the next Small Congregations Virtual Leadership Gathering on December 12. Sign up today!
