Intermarriage and Family Life: A Surprising Journey to The Rabbinate

Registration is closed for this event

Rabbi Lauren Henderson grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina as the eldest child of a Jewish mother from New Jersey and a Presbyterian father from South Carolina. Her path to becoming a JTS-ordained rabbi was far from linear, but she now feels that her family background is one of her greatest assets as a rabbi serving a 21st-century diverse Jewish community.

Join us for a conversation between Rabbi Lauren and Dr. Keren McGinity that will explore topics of inclusivity, rabbinic leadership, and how to best serve our interfaith families.
