- In what areas of membership engagement are volunteers most active—and where are they underutilized?
- What roles in recruitment and retention are best suited for volunteer leaders? What about for professional staff/clergy?
- What aspects of relationship-building are best led by volunteers? By professional leadership?
- Have you had to clarify any boundaries with volunteers involved in membership recruitment & retention efforts?
- What makes it difficult to effectively engage and manage volunteer leaders in this area?
- What might volunteers say is challenging about working with professionals or clergy?
- What training or guidance do you provide to lay leaders in this area?
- What systems are in place to help organize volunteer efforts in this area?
- What are some recommendations that you have for others about utilizing volunteers for engagement or recruitment?
What else do you want to learn from or share with others?
